Why we love it
Lugana is the white wine of the Lake Garda, this one comes from the town of Sirmione, a wine to be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif with a snack or to drink with a light meal or fish. The Lugana Sirmione Avanzi, due the location of the vineyards of Trebbiano di Lugana from which grapes is made of, is the only Lugana that can boast on the label the word “Sirmione”. The wine is elegant, with a fruity nose with hints of peach and banana, lively on the palate, fruity and refreshing.

The artisan who made it
The Avanzi winery, located on the shore of Lake Garda, has been making wine for three generations, growing local grapes from Trebbiano di Lugana to produce their Lugana to the less known Groppello and Marzemino, together with international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Nicola, together with his brother and cousins, the current generation together with the previous one still actively involved, work tirelessly to make outstanding wines.

Came across Italyabroad.com by chance and ordered a selection of white wine including this one and it was very good, it has replaced Pinot Grigio in our fridge

I first discovered this wine when I watched the Andrea's Wine Conversations video and I think it's really good. It has a lovely taste and like the description says, it is so refreshing!
