Barolo and Sausage Sauce, Gran Cucina (180gr)

Long day at the office? No time or energy to cook, but still want a proper, healthy meal without sacrificing quality? A rich and flavourful Piedmontese recipe made using the famous Barolo wine, the king of Italian wines, and fresh local sausage, together with sweet Italian tomatoes, in a ready made sauce perfect for a quick but tasty meal or as a pasta course of a bigger menu.

Best served with long, rough pasta such as our egg tagliatelle or pappardelle, this is a restaurant meal ready in a few minutes, just the time to boil the pasta. The sauce can be either heated on a pan for a few minutes or just tossed over the pasta. Add a few drop of extra virgin olive oil, plenty of cheese and serve. Gluten and lactose free

Gran Cucina has its root in a farm at the beginning of the XIX century. After buying a farm, the great grand father of the current generation started growing vegetables whilst the great grand mother started preparing local delicacies using their own grown products. Within a few years the reputation went outside the village, they started to supply nearby cities and villages. The family got bigger and so more help came.

Now, more than a century after, the same family and the same recipes are followed, using only the best local produces, including the very famous Alba truffle which is used in many products, from extra virgin olive oil to truffle honey to truffle butter.
