Why we love it
Greco is another grape widely cultivated in the south of Italy, mainly Calabria and Campania, but used in blend with the exception of the grapes grown in the eight communes that make the DOCG appellation.
This Greco di Tufo, made with hand picked grapes grown in the heart of the appellation, has an elegant, intense nose with floral, fruity and mineral hints, with almond and hazelnuts notes. In the palate the wine is full, fresh and refreshing, elegant, with good structure and persistence, and a mineral aftertaste.
Greco di Tufo is the perfect accompaniment to fish dishes and shellfish.
The artisan who made it
The story of Tralci Hirpini is a story of friendship, a story that is intertwined with that of a fertile and difficult territory, Irpinia, aka land of the wolf, with rolling hills and immense green spaces. Tralci Hirpini are three friends that believe in respecting nature and in the pursuit of excellence, attention to detail and in continuous experimentation.
Today, among the vineyards of these fertile land with a strong wine-growing vocation, where the Aglianico vine has found its natural habitat and gives its best expressions, Tralci Hirpini is tradition and modernity. Tralci Hirpini is Fiano and their Fiano di Avellino, Greco and their Greco di Tufo and Falanghina, Tralci Hirpici is much more than Aglianico in the most vocated area.
