Why we love it

Like a painter’s style is visible on all its paintings, so is the Kornell style. Their wines are made to be enjoyed as soon as they are open but at the same time can be cellared for years, and this Gewurztraminer Alto Adige is no exception.

Gewurztraminer is a grape rarely associated with Italy but it is widely planted in Trentino and Alto Adige, one region and two wine areas, producing outstanding examples of this white wines, dry and sweet.

This Gewurztraminer Alto Adige has a fresh and floral nose, clean, intense, with notes of rose and apricot, with a full palate, dry, beautiful acidity, elegant, perfect for spicy and rich food, ham. A perfect example for the grape lovers.

The artisan who made it

Located in Alto Adige, the norther area of the Trentino Alto Adige region, Tenuta Kornell is located amongst lush palm trees and ancient conifers, where the Mediterranean wind meets the dry winds coming from the north. The soils, rich in porphyry that quickly absorb heat during the day, creates the ideal weather conditions for growing vines.

Tenuta Kornell has been making wine for over 700 years and today like yesterday, Florian Brigl and his young team are united by a passion for viticulture, where people and nature work in harmony. Their philosophy is to produce unique, honest wines made with perfect grapes, native grapes, from Lagrein to Gewurztraminer.
