The artisan who made it
Trespaldum is a small family-run olive oil producer from Molise, blending tradition with innovation to create high-quality, sustainable extra virgin olive oil. Rooted in the historic village of Mafalda, the mill approach reflects a deep respect for heritage, land, and people.
From grove to bottle, every step is carefully managed. Olives are quickly processed in their own mill using modern extraction methods to preserve freshness and flavour. Grown in a unique hillside microclimate near the Adriatic Sea, and with low-density planting for quality over quantity, Trespaldum produces authentic EVOO with a strong focus on sustainability and excellence. Amongst the cultivar grown, there is also the Gentile di Mafalda, a unique variety named and only found within the town borders, from which they produce their award winning monocultivar.
The Trespladum philosophy is centred on zero-impact farming and careful cultivation, prioritising quality over intensive production. With fewer trees per hectare and strict control at every stage, Trespaldum enhances the natural characteristics of each olive, delivering a premium extra virgin olive oil that truly reflects the Molise terroir, a little known Italian region.
