Obtained from Ogliastrina olives, a native variety of the Ogliastra area in Sardinia, from century old trees, manually harvested and cold pressed, this is a medium intensity extra virgin olive oil with a fresh and clean aromatic profile. On the nose, you’ll find notes of green olive, fresh grass, and Mediterranean herbs accompanied by hints of artichoke or almond.
On the palate, Ogliastrina EVOO is well-balanced, with a gentle bitterness and a pleasant, slightly spicy finish that reflects its polyphenol content. Ogliastrina is a variety high in polyphenols (antioxidants).
This Ogliastrina extra virgin olive oil is a very versatile oil and works well both raw and in cooking, enhancing vegetables, fish, salads, and traditional Mediterranean dishes without overpowering them.
