Unlike typical tours, you'll be personally welcomed by winery owners and winemakers, not sales reps or guides. You’ll hear their stories, learn their techniques, and experience their wines in the most authentic setting possible, straight from the vineyard.

Tour Schedule & Highlights

Arrival – Thursday, 25th September

Make your own flight arrangements to Florence. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your Italyabroad.com representative and head straight to wine country. Need help arranging a hotel for the night before? Just ask, we’re happy to assist.

Accommodation – A Tuscan Dream

Our home for the weekend is a stunning Tenuta in the heart of Chianti. This beautifully restored family estate offers panoramic views, a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and all the rustic charm you imagine when you think of Tuscany. After check-in, we’ll enjoy a private wine tasting on-site followed by a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant, but not before enjoying a classic Italian aperitivo in a nearby village.

Friday – Discover Chianti

After a strong espresso and breakfast, we’ll head into the vineyards for a **hands-on Chianti wine experience**. Meet the winemakers, learn about their craft, and continue the conversation over lunch. In the evening, we’ll explore a nearby village for another delicious **Tuscan dinner and aperitivo**.

Saturday – Exploring Maremma

At 9:30 AM, we set off to the **Maremma wine region** to visit two outstanding wineries. You'll taste exceptional wines such as **Vermentino, Viognier, and Petit Verdot**, and learn about **Supertuscans** and the terroir that makes this region unique. Enjoy a **vertical tasting** — sampling multiple vintages of the same wine — followed by a scenic stop in **Siena** for coffee, shopping, and soaking up the medieval atmosphere.
The evening is free for you to unwind at the Tenuta or explore a nearby village on your own.

Sunday – Montalcino & Brunello

Our final wine day takes us to **Montalcino**, home of the world-famous **Brunello di Montalcino**. We’ll visit a prestigious estate and meet the **oenologist**, who will guide us through the winemaking process, the local terroir, and the unique traits of Brunello. After a **leisurely lunch and wine tasting**, we’ll celebrate our final evening with a farewell **dinner in Montalcino**.

Monday – Departure Day

After breakfast, we check out and return to **Florence**. We'll drop guests at the train station late in the morning — the airport is a short taxi ride from there.
