This section does not want to list all Italian grapes and wines, it will be an impossible job, Italy grows more than 1000 grapes producing thousands wines, but lists some of them, famous and not, to help you in your discovery journey through the Italian grapes and wines. This section could not have been done without the help of Grapepedia, an open project that aims to list all grapes and wines grown around the world.
By knowing the different wines and grapes, we think that you will be more open to try new wines and move outside your comfort zone, thus learning and appreciating more the wine. Often, especially international grapes, are grown in different part of Italy and this will produce very different wines, so bear in mind this when reading the information we have put together for you.
