Greco is an Italian wine grape of Greek origin.Over 2,500 years ago, the ancient Greeks imported the ancestor of the Greco vine to southern Italy. The name relates to both white (Greco bianco) and black (Greco nero) wine grape varieties. There are 2 Greco DOCG in Campania : the Greco di Tufo region of and the Greco di Bianco. However the grape variety is a permitted component in several DOCs in southern Italy.

The phenolic compounds in the grape contribute to the wine's characteristically deep color. This wine is noted for their aromatic qualities similar to Viognier.

Some aromas include peaches and fresh green foliage. With age, Greco wines can develop more herbal notes.
