Another one of those unusual Italian wines from a country that seems to have more variety than any other. Torette seems to be almost unavailable in Britain, which is a pity as the wines from Val d'Aosta deserve to be better known. This one is medium bodied, somewhat fruity and with a nice level of acidity that makes it very good with fattier foods - in my case duck with Dauphinoise potatoes, but it would go with a great many foods without losing its character. Dryish, medium weight, some spice and good fruit and reasonably full in the mouth. Very pleasant without blowing your socks off. Italy Abroad are very good at bringing in these more unusal wines.
