Description
This is the “red” wine of the Garda Lake. The “superiore” is laid down for 2 years before being released. Made only with the best grapes, this red wine is then aged for 1 year in small French barrels. In 2011 the Winery Avanzi has celebrated 80 years of life and history on the west side of Lake Garda, in Manerba. Armed with nearly a century of tradition, passion and experience, is now the third generation that continues what the Cavalier Avanzi had started in the 30s of '900.All their vineyards are in privileged and strategical positions in the south-west coast of the Garda Lake. Huge spaces, high technology and enological tradition are the frame of the Avanzi harvest time.The best grapes are vinificated in the new winery, equipped with a great chill chain which controls the fermentations.
Their love and passion for wine, make them producing only wines that are not only perfect but also expression of the land where they come from. This what their brochure says.
When I met Nicola Avanzi, third generation, and tasted their wine I fall in love with them immediately, they had all we were looking for. The other thing that told me they were what we were looking for was the enthusiasm he had and it was a pleasure talking to him about wine, I knew he was one of us... passion, enthusiasm and good wines.
Their wines include the Lugana and all classic Garda wines, from the Rosso to the Chiaretto...
