LorenzoMariaSole "Pas Dosage" Classic Method, Armangia (75cl)

Made from a blend of white and red grapes, LorenzoMariaSole is a “pas dosage” Classic Method Sparkling wine, with a residual sugar below 3gr/L and it is named after the the son and daughter of the winemaker/owner, Ignazio. The 2014 was a great vintage for the area and this is a vintage wine, fermented for 60 months, resulting in a great “pas dosage” sparkling wine, with a fine and persistent perlage, a wine for all lovers of “pas dosage” wines. It has a very complex nose, with notes of yellow fruits, red apple and flowers, with underlying crusty bread and toast scents.

On the palate the wine is full, perfect to drink now or to cellar, this is a wine well suited to pair food, from appetizers to first courses to fish dishes or crustaceans in general, but due to its complexity is also suited for cold cuts and fresh cheeses.

If kept in a normal fridge, leave the bottle at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving it.

The L’Armangia winery have been making wines in Canelli, Piedmont, from 1850, and today they are amongst the top wineries of the area particularly with regard to growing and producing Barbera d’Asti and Moscato D’Asti. Ignazio, the owner and winemaker, is not your conventional winemaker, he knows his grapes as if they are his own sons and daughters and he knows what they can produce and he firmly believes in the Barbera d’Asti grape, but also grow a variety of other grapes including Albarossa, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and a very small vineyard of Pinot Nero that makes an amazing wine.
