Grappa is an Italian spirit, strong, brandy-like, made from grape pomace distilled initially from the Italian Alps, but now being made all over Italy and depending on the pomace used, the grapes used in the wine making process, the grappa takes the grape's aromas and flavours.
This is a fantastic Grappa di Burnello made with Brunello (sangiovese grosso grapes) pomace and aged in barrels for at least 18 months, hence its name Grappa di Brunello Riserva and its gold colour. This is a complex grappa, a grappa with a rich nose with spices, smooth, rich, warming and it comes in a decanter bottle making it a beautiful gift for a loved one, a friend, or as a treat to yourself.
Grappa has its own glass, called
Tulip Glass because of its shape that allow the nose to open and fully appreciate the grappa complexity. Grappa is the perfect accompaniment to dark chocolate.
