Why we love it

Friselle is a traditional product from Apulia prepared by hand following the original recipe in which the dough is first left to leaven, then divided in smaller parts, subsequently boiled, dried and baked at 180°.

Our artisan friselle are ready to be topped with your favourite condiment. The Apulia tradition is to have them with chopped tomatoes, basil, salt and extra virgin olive oil, served either as a starter or a snack. Delicious Suitable for vegans & vegetarians.

The artisan who made it

Palo del Colle is a town in the province of Bari but is mainly known for being the birthplace of the now, worldwide famous, Tarallo. And in Palo del Colle is where the Antichi Sapori bakery is located.

Antichi Sapori is a small, family bakery that was founded in 1993, when they decided to produce the best tarallo. Since then , they added several other products to their range expanding their bakery, initially all typical Apulia snacks and then moved into producing pasta using the local flour, but remaining faithful to their philosophy of only using the best available ingredients.
