Description

A fantastic Brunello di Montalcino from one of our preferred producers....Awarded gold medal at Decanter World Wine Award 2011. It is an amazing wine, complex, with a fantastic nose with leather, chocolate, forest wood, vanilla. In the mouth, again, it is full with plenty of flavour, elegant, balanced, with plenty of potential. This wine can be laid down in the cellar for a few more years. If drunk now, ensure it is well decanted to really appreciate it. This wine is only produced in the best vintages and only a couple of thousands bottles per year.

Producer

Owned by the Socini Guelfi family for centuries and rented until 2004, this small vineyards on the slopes of Montalcino, produces fantastic wines.

Passion for making traditional and prestigious wines has been handed down from father to son.

Every generation of winemaker has selected different clones of Sangiovese according to personal taste, chosen the type and the harvesting time to regulate the production, and played on the date of collection and maturation, or the type of wooden barrels to "create" the best wines.

Today, le 7 Camicie, managed by Francesco and Laura, is a 5-acre vineyard dedicated to the production of Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino and Sant'Antimo.
