Description
Only made in special vintages and in a very limited production, we were able to get some of it. Made with Riesling grapes from old vineyards, aged in small French barrels, this “passito” or dessert wine, is another masterpiece from Roberto Scubla. The result is a wine with a gold color, with a delicate still complex nose with vanilla hints. In the mouth is velvety, smooth, fruity with a never ending finish.Producer
Turning into the hilly tourist road from Ipplis toward a soft rise, you come to the centre of the Azienda Agricola Scubla that looks out over the vineyards. But, it is this rich soil that plays a leading role characterising this area and its wine.Roberto Scubla's estate was established in 1991 by combining some existing old vineyards to which new plantings were added, bringing the total grape-growing area to about ten hectares spread over the slopes of a gentle, sun-drenched hill in the southern part of the "Colli Orientali" Region, the Eastern Hills of Friuli.
