Description
The Recioto is the traditional dessert wine of the Valpolicella made with the same grapes used for the wines of the area, from the bardolino to the amarone. This wine, made using hand picked selected grapes, left drying in the winery, following the "passito" method, and then aged in oak barrels, is an unctuous red, with a complex nose with fabulous aromas of chocolate and vanilla that evolves to mature fruit and violet. Full bodied, velvety, warm with gentle tannins and with a lasting fruit finish. The recioto is the perfect companion for chocolate desserts.Producer
Operating since 1968, the company Righetti covers about 9 acres in the town of Cavaion Veronese, a charming town located in the hinterland of Lake Garda, in the heart of the Bardolino Classico production zone.The vineyards grow from limestone - clay soils of glacial origin.
The union of tradition and new production techniques makes excellent wines that had been awarded in various competitions of Bardolino and Garda Classico Doc.
With the whole family involved, new and old generation together, in the winery, their wines represent the “classico”, the classic, the results of perfect, healthy grapes. Their production includes the Amarone della Valpolicella, Ripasso della Valpolicella and the Recioto della Valpolicella.
