Hidden away amongst the picturesque buildings and
scenery of the charming town of Durham lies a little
piece of the Almafi coast. If you want to relive those wonderful holiday memories all you have to do is visit Bistro Italia.
A wonderful Italian restaurant with a typical
traditional Italian decor perfect for enjoying a nice
relaxing meal with your loved ones. The staff is
Italian and are always friendly approachable.
The food it typical from the South of Italy, light and
tasty. As always these dishes are made using age-old
recipes, cooked using traditional methods and most
important of all the dishes comprise of the finest
freshest ingredients obtained daily from the local
market. Everyday depending on the ingredients
available the menu changes and you can see this via
the Chef’s blackboard outside the restaurant.
The Neapolitan cuisine and way of preparing food is

restaurant is renowned for its antipastos, which are
always fresh and light. A real treat is the antipasto
ai frutti di mare. The chef prepares the fish and once
cooked is it drizzled with pure virgin olive oil
sprinkled with parsley, salt, cracked black pepper and
a squeeze of lemon juice. Once the ingredients are
mixed it produces a mouth-watering seafood salad.
This is on example of Southern Italian cuisine at its
best. The signature dish of the restaurant is the
fillet steak with scampi. This is a dish that you will
never forget. Being of Neapolitan origin this
restaurant makes some wonderful pizza and pasta
dishes. If you had to choose a pasta dish we recommend
the homemade ravioli. One little taste and you will be
hooked.

selection of the best wines from every region in
Italy. The wines range from organically produced to
the classic Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino.
