Sauvignon Scubla (75cl)

|
Description
A fantastic Sauvignon from Friuli, north east of Italy, from the Colli Orientali area made with 100% manually harvested sauvignon grapes from old vines, with an aromatic and delicate nose with scents of yellow pepper, peach and sage. Full, elegant with fruity flavours and a never ending finish. Another masterpiece from ScublaProducer
Turning into the hilly tourist road from Ipplis toward a soft rise, you come to the centre of the Azienda Agricola Scubla that looks out over the vineyards. But, it is this rich soil that plays a leading role characterising this area and its wine.Roberto Scubla's estate was established in 1991 by combining some existing old vineyards to which new plantings were added, bringing the total grape-growing area to about ten hectares spread over the slopes of a gentle, sun-drenched hill in the southern part of the "Colli Orientali" Region, the Eastern Hills of Friuli.

Had this at one of Andrea's recent wine tastings, and is fabulous. The only issue is that it is simply Too quafable, and at 14%, you certainly know you have had it . Probably going to order some more however .......
