From the most vocated area for the Pinot Grigio, il Collio in Friuli, North East of Italy, made only using 100% organically grown pinot grigio grapes, hand picked, this Pinot Grigio has a delicate and elegant floral nose with white fruit hints and a clean, fresh and vibrant palate with a superb acidic balance, ending with a lasting, elegant, slightly bitterly finish.
About the producer

The family run winery Coceani started in Friuli, in the Collio area, in the 1800 with Alfonso when he bought his first vineyard. The winery has then been passed down and added new vineyards and it now has vineyards in the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli areas and from the late 80’, Renzo has decided to follow the organic philosophy and started growing their grapes organically. Now, helped by his family, is starting to make wines with no sulphites. Their philosophy is to produce exceptional wines with character and enhancing the characteristics of the soil. The grapes grown are the typical of the area, from the famous Pinot Grigio to the less knows Ribolla Gialla, all organically certified.

A clear winner, by 1magpie 12 Jun 06:39

A clear winner, light fruity and pleasing, clean and crisp and refreshing on a hot summers day (if you can remeber one). Seems to be a winner particularly with the female of the species, as despite an array of quality Burgundy at recent dinner parties this was the wine that the majority of the ladies preferred.Summer drinking at its best (if we only had a summer to go with it)
