Join us for another entertaining and informative wine tasting evening in Sunderland. As usual a selection of Italian wines made by small producers will be paired to a fantastic food prepared by the chefs at Marcellos. The dinner will feature unknown Italian wines and provide information on how to taste wines and what to look for. Each wine will be introduced by a talking about its origin and characteristics. Our events are also a great way to make new friends who share your love for wine.

“Gemma and I have only missed one wine tasting (I think) since it all began and we have never drunk a wine we didn't like. Of course, we all have our favourites (at the moment mine are probably the Fiano, the Chenti and the Tre Grome passito) although this tends to vary with time as more wines are discovered.

The one area where I have been truly converted is dessert wines (or as you prefer to call them, "contemplation wines"). Prior to coming to your sessions I had never really liked these wines, finding them too sweet for my palate, but now I understand a little more about how to match them with the right foods (or enjoy them on their own whilst contemplating my ever expanding navel!)I find that some of them are among my favourites.
