Luciano Landi
The Landi winery is characterized by the unique style of the wines originates in the Marche region, in a town: Belvedere Ostrense, on the hills overlooking the sea at 250 meters above sea level, North of Jesi in the province of Ancona.
The ideal climate is combined with a great vocation and the variation of the earth, from the loose and limy soil ideal for red berries vines to the clay and of medium consistency ones suitable for the white berries vines. The company was founded in the fifties by Sergio Landi who owned 4 hectares of land cultivating the typical vines of this area such as the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and the Lacrima di Morro d'Alba, which was very much appreciated for its qualities by Federico Barbarossa in 1167.
From traditional vine growing, the company expanded thanks to new techniques, with 5.500 plants per ha cultivated by spurred cordon with a production of about 1,5 Kg. of grapes per vine.
At the third generation, with great passion and skills, the Landi family manages the whole process, from manual harvesting to bottling.
